TMSS Nursing Institute, Dhaka (TNID), was established in July 2019 at Paribagh, Shahbag, Dhaka. The institute is a nursing education institute controlled by TMSS ICT & Environment Sector(ICT). The institute is located in the heart of Dhaka and close to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, the largest educational institution in the country, and BIRDEM Hospital, a reputed healthcare provider. The institution admits students to the Diploma in Nursing Science course every year. At present there is a huge shortage of trained, skilled nurses in the modern world and in the context of our country. The role of nurses as well as physicians is more important. TMSS is an important NGO at the national level in Bangladesh; Among the various activities of the NGO, health education activities are significant. Under the health education program, the activities of 12 educational institutions including TMSS Medical College are being conducted successfully in several districts. The TMSS Nursing Institute was established with the objective of increasing the quality of health services to the people of the country, eliminating unemployment, educating them in modern and well-educated and sending skilled nurses abroad to implement the government’s initiative.
